Welcome to the official section for Phase 1 students of the undergraduate Medicine at St Vincent's Clinical School. This section contains essential information covering allocations to groups and classes, term information, scheduled teaching and assessments and will include links to important information resources that you will need as part of your involvement in Phase 1.
Before your first Phase 1 Tutorial
Please ensure that you:
- Know how to get to St Vincent's Hospital and to your tutorial rooms so that you arrive in your tutorial room at least 5 minutes prior to the commencement of the tutorial.
- Know the time and location of your tutorial as well as your tutors name.
- Have eaten and drunk before the tutorial
- Are dressed in a professional manner
- Have read all the relevant sections on the General and Phase 1 St Vincent's website
- Have completed your St Vincent's contact details form and security pass form
- Have obtained your St Vincent's security ID card (on the day of first tutorial)
- Have completed the pre-reading required for the session in the student guide and are familiar with the contents and objectives of the session
- Checked the Bulletin Board the night before your tutorial for any last minute changes
We are more than happy to answer any of your queries at the Clinical School. However,
you are now adult learners and should endeavour to use initiative to try and solve problems.
Important Notes
Patient Visit Policy - Please ensure that you are familiar with the
Phase I Policy on visiting patients at St Vincent's.
Communication - check the
Bulletin Board daily for news and updates and regularly check your
UNSW email (set to autoforward to private email if you wish - see
instructions).

Attendance - students must attend a minimum of 80% of tutorials
