Welcome to the St Vincent's Clinical School
St Vincent's Clinical School has a proud history of providing high quality medical education for undergraduate and postgraduate students as well as visiting elective students from national and international medical schools. There is a huge range of learning opportunities across all sectors of the campus (St Vincent’s Hospital, St Vincent’s Private Hospital, Sacred Heart) and the community it serves through numerous outpatient and community based services.
The academic and administrative staff are here to facilitate your learning experience at the St Vincents’ campus. We work with a large number of dedicated health professionals who tutor and mentor students. I’m sure you will find your experience at St Vincent's Clinical School to be very rewarding.
2008 will be a challenging and busy year, with attendance from UNSW medical students in all years of the undergraduate course. The rollout of the New Medicine Program continues, along with continuing to providing excellence in the ‘old course’ for the senior years. Students undertaking the research year of the New Program (Independent Learning Project, or ILP) will start again in June, with the opportunity to access the world class basic and clinical research facilities linked to the School.
We encourage all students and staff to frequently come to the Clinical School and discuss any issues regarding training, teaching and learning. In addition, this website houses a large amount of information regarding our programs for both students and staff. Welcome and enjoy!
